The flow is always the same: someone reports a problem, the request becomes a work order, a technician does the job from a phone with a checklist and photos, and closing it leaves a signed report and an entry in the asset history. Whatever repeats every month is set up once as a preventive maintenance plan and generates itself.
The eight modules
| Module | What it is for | Who uses it most |
|---|---|---|
| Maintenance requests | Report a problem in 30 seconds, with a photo and a location, from the app or by scanning the asset's QR code | Anyone: line operators, store staff, office staff |
| Work orders | Assign the job, do it with a checklist and time tracking, sign it and close it with a PDF report | Supervisors and technicians |
| Assets and QR codes | The equipment inventory with its sheet, its history and a printable QR label | Administrators and supervisors |
| Preventive maintenance | Schedule recurring inspections so work orders generate themselves on the right day | Supervisors |
| Meter readings | Record running hours, mileage or temperature per asset, with charts, and trigger PM by usage | Technicians and supervisors |
| Reports and KPIs | Pending, overdue, MTTR, MTBF, availability, labor cost and PM compliance, with CSV export | Management and supervisors |
| External contractors | Send a work order to an outside company as a PDF by email, with no account and no seat used | Supervisors |
| Mobile CMMS | The whole application designed for a phone held in one hand, nothing to install | Technicians, standing at the machine |
What you will not find
Better said up front: onCMMS is not an ERP. It does not do purchasing, spare-parts inventory with valuation, payroll or invoicing. There is no offline mode, no native app in the app stores (it is an installable web app), no connectors to third-party ERPs (data moves by CSV) and no predictive maintenance with sensors. It does maintenance, and it does all of it; the full list of what is in and what is out is on the product page.
The application interface is currently in Spanish. An English interface is on the roadmap and moves to the top of the list as soon as an English-speaking team asks for it. The product page has the details.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It opens in the browser on a computer or a phone. On a phone you can add it to the home screen and it gets its own icon, like any other app.
How many users can I have?
It depends on the plan: 2 on Free, 5 on Workshop, 15 on Business (up to 50) and more than 50 on Enterprise. See the pricing page for the limits. Inside a company there are four roles: administrator, supervisor, technician and requester. Anyone who only needs to report a problem can do it by scanning a QR code without using a seat.
Can I import my equipment list?
Yes, by CSV with a downloadable template, from Settings → Import/Export CSV. The import creates any missing sites, locations and categories on the way and returns a row-by-row report. From the same screen you can also load your work order history.
