What is measured
| Indicator | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Pending | The work still open right now, regardless of the date range |
| Overdue | Work orders past their target date. The number that should not grow |
| Closed in the period | What was completed between two dates |
| MTTR (mean time to repair) | Average time to repair on corrective work orders, in hours with one decimal |
| PM compliance | What percentage of scheduled inspections were done before their due date |
| Labor cost | What the period's work cost, using the hourly rate frozen on each time entry: raising the rate does not rewrite the past |
| MTBF (mean time between failures) | Average time between breakdowns of the same asset. MTTR says how long a repair takes; MTBF, how often things break |
| Availability | The percentage of time assets were running, calculated from the downtime recorded on work orders |
| Breakdowns | By status, by type, the five assets that generate the most work and the five that cost the most |
Three details that change the result
- MTTR only counts corrective work orders. A PM job that waits three days to be picked up is not a repair, and mixing it in inflates the average.
- With no data, an indicator is not zero, it is "—". A zero would say every repair is instant, which is worse than saying nothing. That is why cost only appears once you have set an hourly rate, and availability only once someone has recorded downtime: a number is never made up.
- Cost uses the rate in force on the day each time entry was logged, not today's. That is the difference between a history and a snapshot that changes every time you raise the rate.
Export to a spreadsheet
Work orders and assets download as CSV from Settings → Import/Export CSV, respecting the period and site filters, with a byte order mark so Excel opens them correctly on the first try, without the import-and-pick-a-separator step.
A dashboard for each role
The home screen changes depending on who logs in: management and supervisors see the state of the operation; a technician, only their work orders; a requester, only their requests, without a single link to what they cannot see.
How exactly is MTTR calculated?
It is the average of the time elapsed between the creation of a corrective work order and its completion, computed in minutes and shown in hours with one decimal, so short jobs do not lose precision.
Can I see the figures for a single site?
Yes, there is a filter by site and by date range. If the range is entered backwards it is flipped instead of returning an error.
Are there charts?
The reports are numeric breakdowns by status, type and asset; meter readings have their own trend charts. The priority has been that the numbers are correct and quick to read on a phone, not filling the screen with graphics.
Where does the labor cost come from?
From the hours logged on work orders multiplied by an hourly rate you set in Settings, either one for the whole company or one per technician. If you have not set a rate, the cost is simply not shown.
